Ideal Landscape: Morning
by SCHÖDLBERGER, Johann Nepomuk, Oil on canvas, 131 x 171 cm
Schdlberger was in Rome in 1817-18, but the two ideal landscapes illustrating the times of the day (shown here) were painted in Vienna. They demonstrate that the painter was a student of Claude Lorrain but the influence of the Hackert landscape school can be also observed.
