French garden architect. He is known as the creator of the English Garden (Jardin Anglais) at the Palace of Fontainebleau. No other biographical data are available.

France is the land of the Baroque garden, but in the 18th century the less rigid British landscape garden very quickly became popular as well. The landscaped English-style garden (Jardin Anglais) at the Palace of Fontainebleau was created between 1810 and 1812 by the architect Hutault on Napoleon’s decision to replace Francis I’s pine tree garden. A river spurts out from a rock and flows through the garden. The meadow is embellished by many different species of trees.
